Sunday Social

1. What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
Stay in and watch a good movie. This is not usually the case but a girl can dream right?

2. What is your favorite thing to do on a summer weekend?
I love it when my husband BBQ's on a summer weekend. Partly because I don't have to cook much that day and BBQ is delicious! After stuffing our faces (oh yes we do overeat BBQ) we usually take our dog for a lllooonnnggg walk so we can breathe again.

He loves his walks!

3. What is your favorite spring accessory?
Sandals when it's warm!

4. What is your favorite way to spend a winter day?
I love getting dressed up in the winter and going out, then sipping on something hot and doing something Christmas related. I really love Christmas a lot!

5. What is your favorite season and why?
I love fall. The weather is perfect, there is a light chill in the air but it's not freezing and I love fall colors. Most of all I have a small obsession with pumpkin...pumpkin pie, pumpkin lattes, roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin ice cream...I can go on

From this past fall! I look forward to this ice cream!
6. What is the best birthday you ever had?
This past birthday was pretty amazing. It was the day we found out I was pregnant. I did retest a few days later just to make sure and yup it was still positive. I'm not sure how another birthday could top this one!

Closet Makeover

| On
Thursday, March 14, 2013
Yesterday I was reading one of my favorite blogs I Heart Organizing and she posted a closet makeover using baskets from the dollar store! I love to reorganize and it gets even better when it doesn't cost a lot!
Cleaning the closet has been on my to-do list for a while so I did it today.
Grand total for this project: $15
Now my closet is really big and the shelves are pretty deep so I had a lot of space to work with. On the top shelf I have extra sheets and blankets, it is hard to see that shelf in this picture. On the second shelf I have all of our "toiletries" and they are organized by color and type. The green baskets are my husbands, the teal are things we both use and the red are mine. The third shelf is dedicated to towels and now baby washing items. The fourth shelf contains the medicine & first aid items, lotion, toothpaste etc. The fourth shelf contains travel toiletries, lint rollers and miscellaneous items and my pedicure tub :) The floor holds toilet paper, candles/plug-in air fresheners, mini fans and dog stuff. Whew that is a lot of stuff!
It makes so much more sense to me now and my husband can finally find what he is looking for.

So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday

This week I am saying So What If....
  • Tomorrow is my due date and there aren't any signs that I'll be in labor...I'm truly hoping things will change and that I will have him, I am so ready!
  • I stayed up really late last night cleaning because I have this irrational fear that I will go into labor and my house will not be clean (mind you my house is always clean) so I swept, mopped and dusted again
  • I haven't done a "real" post in a week, I have been linking up a lot. It's pretty fun and I have too much on my mind. I sit in front of the computer to write and just stare at the screen. I will write a real post soon promise!
  • I don't feel like doing anything today even though I have a small to-do list that I really want to get done before I go into labor
  • I ate breakfast a bit ago and I'm already thinking about lunch
  • I finally found the nail polish color I was looking for but passed it up because it was $.50 more than what I usually pay....fifty cents! I went to look for it at the store near my house and they don't sell it. I won't be making that mistake again.
  • I haven't changed one of the clocks in my house a hour ahead yet, we did this last year too and after a while forgot about it and just let it catch up till we had to fall back. I'm going to get my husband to change it this afternoon.
  • I've been to Target a few times this week and keep forgetting to buy the same thing. I leave spending money that's for sure just not the one thing that I need. See the thing is I can't remember what that thing is. I remember when I need it though!!

Today I am linking up for Sunday Social

1. What is one movie you are terrified to watch?
That would be any scary move! I think too much and start imagining myself in the movie, then I can't sleep...yeah it's not good!

2. What is one TV show you have always wanted to get into but haven't yet?
The Big Bang Theory. I have seen a few episodes and found it hilarious just never watched it from the beginning.

3. What is one daring activity on your bucket list?
To go skydiving with my husband. It is something he really wants to do, but I'm not quite ready yet.

4. Would you ever travel alone?
If I had to, but I like to travel with my husband. It wouldn't be the same without him.

5. What activities do you like to do alone?
I love to go to Target alone, I can spend lots of time in there and I don't like to feeling rushed! I love cleaning/organizing alone, I get in the zone and knock it out if I'm not distracted. I need to cherish these alone moments pretty soon I will be a mama and will not have as much alone time.
Happy Sunday :)

Linking up with Shannon @ Life After I Dew

This week I am so So What If.....
  • It's only noon and I am considering taking a nap
  • Truth be told I only got 6 hours of sleep last night
  • I probably won't take a nap, I should, but I will find something to keep me occupied
  • I have packed and repacked our hospital bag a few times just to make sure I have everything
  • I am debating changing my blog design again, I am still learning how to make stuff with my BFF  Google :)
  • I can't keep track of what day of the week it is, my days feel like they all run together. I wouldn't have realized today was Wednesday for a while
  • I spend way too much time trying to find the best deal for an online purchase, I'm talking 1 hour this morning looking for baby stuff
  • I'm stalking my bay window waiting impatiently for my iPad case to arrive...I've been carrying around in the box for a week
  • I've been cooking breakfast, lunch, dinner and even a dessert for the past few days and I'm loving  it!
  • The cooking so much has to do with the fact the I am so in LOVE with my new kitchen :)
  • I have been tempted to complain about this weather getting so cold lately...then after reading a few blogs this week I am pretty thankful I don't have to deal with snow
  • I don't answer my phone my family thinks I went into labor :) I keep reminding them we will call them

2. I have entered the single digit countdown till my due date, 9 or less days to go :)
3. I have developed a small addiction to chai tea, in fact I'm drinking a cup now
4. Diapers.com has become my new favorite website, and I am not even buying diapers on there :) I ordered a Jumperoo yesterday afternoon and received it today and it was on sale for $75 which is way less than any site I have looked at
5. I am hooked on Downton Abbey, I see the hype now!

This is Me

I am unashamed to say that I am a Christian!

I may have lost some of you after that first sentence and that's ok, but I truly hope you stay and read some more. Life is way too short to not stand up for what you believe in! To take this moment to share with you what is truly important to me.

Being a Christian is certainly not "popular". Growing up I got teased for being a Christian and on the other hand a lot of respect from people who didn't find it odd. It can be assumed that Christians have no fun in life. You can't drink, curse, and have to go to Church...Now wait a moment, that is not true.  You are the ultimate decision maker of your own life.

I choose not to drink & curse and I choose to go to Church. Not because it is the "right" thing to do but because I want to. I have to say my life is the complete opposite of boring. I have a lot of fun! I laugh all the time at myself and with my husband. We are always finding adventures to go on and enjoy spending time with family and friends. He we are very competive when it comes to playing games and we sorta hold an undefeated record at a few games....just saying! We truly do have a lot of fun!
Do I judge people who live differently than me? Absolutely not!

I am telling you today that I was not prompted by a link up to share this, it comes from my heart. A heart that loves people, a heart after God that doesn't want to live knowing that I was the reason someone didn't hear about my friend named Jesus. A man who lived and walked this earth like you and I and died on the cross for our sins.

So I'm asking you, are you unashamed to share what you believe?
To admit that Jesus lives in your heart to your readers?

If you have made it this far in my post and don't know if he lives in your heart and want to, I invite you to read Romans 10:9-10

Happy Friday :)
