Before Baby (in 8 weeks) Bucket List

Today is one of those milestone days in my pregnancy.  I am 8 months pregnant which means that our little man will be here in just 8 weeks! Now don't get me wrong I am SO excited to meet my son, but there was a little part of me that sort of freaked out because 8 weeks is not that much time!! I was talking with my husband tonight and realized that those 8 weeks are going to fly by. We came up with the idea to create a before baby bucket list. Every week we want to do something that we know will not be the same with our baby.

Here is what we have so far:
  1. Take a day trip
  2. Dinner and a movie
  3. Attend a play or show
  4. ...
  5. ...
  6. ...
  7. ...
  8. ...
We can easily fill in the other 5, but seeing that we are not parents yet we can't think of what we wished we could have done...Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated, we can adapt them based on where we live :)

Have any ideas for us????

  2. It's simple! Get dressed up and stay in to watch a movie in your own home. It's not going to be very quiet once there's a bouncing baby boy is in the picture! I'm a new follower! Check me out as well at http://www.m00ngl0w.blogspot.com

  3. 1. Go out with friends. Once baby comes along there will be loads of invites to go out with friends yet some places won't allow children (we have this problem a lot, so we end up missing out on nights out)

    2. Go out shopping for clothes for you both for after baby is born. (the whole idea about this is to make you feel good about yourself after baby is born. I didn't do this after my first, second and third child were born and now still in the same clothes since before i had my first in 2008!.

    1. Thank you for reading Nikki. Those are two awesome ideas. I didn't even think about buying new clothes but I know that I am going to want new clothes after he is born! And yes I am going to accept all invites from friends from now on :)

  4. Hi Lleana, I'm following via 'a lovely blog hop!' Here are some suggestions that I think me and my honey would do as well.

Host a dinner party(if its not too much work), go bowling/skating, treat yourselves like a king/queen and get a fancy hotel for one night and treat yourselves to room service for dinner.

  6. I think this is such a great idea to do a before baby bucket list. I am sure that you feel that your life will have a huge change so it's best to get all the fun things in first. I'll have to steal this idea for when I'm preggers. Just found your blog and have enjoyed getting to know you better. Hope you don't mind if I follow along!

  12. Hi I am stopping by from "quite the blog" blog hop...I am a new mom myself and I will say just enjoy your time of being able to run out to the store, and do things by yourself. Because although I know much of a blessing it is to be a mom, you will see after the child is born that you may want to run somewhere quickly and it will be hard because you will have to make sure you have everything (purse, diaper bag with all the baby necessities in it)...so just take the time to enjoy with friends, family, time to yourself, and quality time with your husband! Even if its just the two of you taking a walk together holding hands through a store!
